All new daycare and boarding attendants must pass a temperament test to ensure they are compatible with our cage-free facility. During this time, we will introduce your dog to a few of our temperament tested dogs of different sizes and genders. Both dogs will be on leash held by a separate staff member as we assess body their language. This test takes about 15-20 minutes and must be scheduled prior to boarding or daycare dates.
To lessen the anxiety and stress associated with boarding, we require a trial day of daycare prior to any boarding. This day is a FREE half day of daycare (up to five hours). During this time, we watch to ensure there is no aggression or extreme anxiety that develops that could make their time with us difficult for your dog. We want your pup to be as comfortable as possible during their stay at K9to5.
For the safety of your dog, the rest of our canine attendants, and our staff, we require all daycare and boarding attendants to be up to date on appropriate shots. You can bring in a physical copy of their shot records, have them sent to us via email, or have your vet fax them to us. We require: Rabies, Bordetella, DHLPP. We offer the bordetella vaccine at our facility for $15.
In order to prevent pesky fleas and ticks from entering and spreading in our facility, we require that every canine client is on some sort of flea and tick prevention before attending boarding or daycare at K9to5. If fleas are found on your dog during their time with us, a Capstar will be administered and your account will be charged $8.
All forms and policies can be downloaded below, printed, and turned in before your dogs first day! You can also stop by our facility to pick up paper copies of our entire new client packet!
